PROVERBS ,RIDDLES , FABLES and RHYMES

Money doesn't grow on trees

All griefs with bread are less.
Las penas con pan son menos.

All talk and no action. // All mouth and no trousers.
Mucho ruido y pocas nueces.

He that would have the fruit must climb the tree.
El que algo quiere, algo le cuesta.

It's better to be safe than sorry. Más vale prevenir que curar

Remember Remember the Fifth of November rhyme

Remember remember the fifth of November

Gunpowder, treason and plot.

I see no reason why gunpowder, treason

Should ever be forgot...

Festivities in Windsor Castle by Paul Sandby, c. 1776
Guy Fawkes Night, also known as Guy Fawkes DayBonfire Night and Firework Night, is an annual commemoration observed on 5 November, primarily in England. Its history begins with the events of 5 November 1605, when Guy Fawkes, a member of theGunpowder Plot, was arrested while guarding explosives the plotters had placed beneath the House of Lords. Celebrating the fact thatKing James I had survived the attempt on his life, people lit bonfires around London, and months later the introduction of theObservance of 5th November Act enforced an annual public day of thanksgiving for the plot's failure.

The term nursery rhyme is used for "traditional" poems for young children in Britain and many other countries, but usage only dates from the 19th century and in North America the older ‘Mother Goose Rhymes’ is still often used.

Hey diddle diddle,
The Cat and the fiddle,
The Cow jumped over the moon,
The little Dog laughed to see such sport,
And the Dish ran away with the Spoon
